Song of Solomon 6:3

And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;

For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.

For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies.

My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
