Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
Selah (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates myselahh.com and the Selah Bible study tools. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Information you provide. When you create an account, request an API key, subscribe to our newsletter, submit a question, or post a comment, we collect the details you enter (such as your name and email address).
- Usage data. We automatically collect basic technical information — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring links — to keep the service secure and understand how it is used.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie & Consent Policy for details.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Bible reader, study tools, and API.
- To send the newsletter and service messages you have requested (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To respond to your questions, comments, and support requests.
- To monitor for abuse, secure the service, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable law (such as the GDPR) requires it, we process your information on the basis of your consent (e.g. newsletter signup, non-essential cookies), the performance of a contract(providing your account or API access), and our legitimate interests in operating and improving a secure service.
4. Sharing and third-party services
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run Selah, including:
- Hosting & delivery — Cloudflare (CDN, edge compute, media storage).
- Database — Supabase (Postgres).
- Analytics — privacy-respecting product analytics to measure aggregate usage.
- Email — our newsletter/email provider, to deliver messages you subscribe to.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
5. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate legal or operational reasons. You can ask us to delete your account data at any time (see your rights below).
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@myselahh.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
7. Children
Selah is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate we will provide additional notice.
