Cookie & Consent Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
This policy explains how Selah uses cookies and similar technologies, what they do, and how you can control them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use similar technologies such as local storage. Together we refer to them as “cookies” in this policy.
2. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary. Required for the site to work — keeping you signed in (the admin session cookie), security, and remembering essential preferences. These cannot be switched off.
- Preferences. Remember choices you make, such as your preferred Bible translation, reading settings, or saved tools, so the site feels consistent.
- Analytics. Help us understand aggregate usage — which pages are read, how features perform — so we can improve. We use privacy-respecting analytics and do not sell this data.
3. Consent
Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential (preference and analytics) cookies. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, and you can manage cookies through your browser settings. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent because the service cannot function without them.
4. Managing cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the service — such as signing in — from working correctly.
5. Third-party cookies
Some cookies may be set by the providers we use to deliver and measure the service (for example, our hosting and analytics providers). Their use of data is governed by their own policies; see our Privacy Policy for the providers we rely on.
6. Changes
We may update this policy as our use of cookies evolves. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
