ἐπισκέπτομαι

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, tender: or, bowels of the mercy dayspring: or, Sunrising, or, branch, Zac.3.8, esay II, I Malich.4.2, numb.24.17

And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.

Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.

And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.

Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.

But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
