ὥσπερ

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. do not: or, cause not a trumpet to be sounded

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you They have their reward.

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you They have their reward.

For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: believed: or, obeyed

For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.

And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.

Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness. bounty: Gr. blessing whereof: or, which hath been so much spoken of before

But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. spirit: or, breath

And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
