זֵכֶר

And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.

I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:

And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed. fail: Heb. pass perish: Heb. be ended

His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.

For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?

O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them. O thou: or, The destructions of the enemy are come to a perpetual end: and their cities hast thou destroyed, etc

Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. at: or, to the memorial

The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. at: or, to the memorial

But thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.

Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.

Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations. throughout: Heb. to generation and generation

They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.

The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.

For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.

They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.

Even the LORD God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial.

They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon. grow: or, blossom scent: or, memorial
