Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,

But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;

Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. come: Heb. prevent his face

Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.

The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;
