Jachin and Boaz

God establishes and strengthens his house.
The two great bronze pillars that stood at the entrance of Solomon’s Temple.
What It Was
Hiram cast two enormous bronze pillars for the porch of the Temple. The right he named Jachin (“he shall establish”) and the left Boaz (“in him is strength”), each crowned with an ornate capital of lily-work and pomegranates (1 Kings 7:21; 2 Chronicles 3:17).
Biblical Significance & Symbolism
Their names together form a quiet creed at the threshold of God’s house: He will establish; in Him is strength. They stood as standing witnesses that the Temple — and the people who entered it — depended wholly on the Lord.
