Biography

Salah (called Sala in Luke's genealogy) was the son of Arphaxad and the father of Eber, the ancestor of the Hebrews (Genesis 10:24; 11:12–15). He lived 433 years. Like the other patriarchs of this genealogy, Salah's importance lies in the line he carries forward — from Shem through Arphaxad and Eber toward Abraham, and ultimately to Christ (Luke 3:35).
