1 Chronicles 26:30

And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.

And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. persuade: or, deceive

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. Satan: Heb. the adversary among: Heb. in the midst of

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.

And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.

And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. Satan: that is, an adversary to: Heb. to be his adversary

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:

And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;

But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? to lie to: or, to deceive

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Let no man say when he is tempted I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: evil: or, evils
