יוֹתֵר

So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself? whom the king: Heb. in whose honour the king delighteth

Then said I in my heart, As it happeneth to the fool, so it happeneth even to me; and why was I then more wise? Then I said in my heart, that this also is vanity. happeneth even: Heb. happeneth to me, even to me

For what hath the wise more than the fool? what hath the poor, that knoweth to walk before the living?

Seeing there be many things that increase vanity, what is man the better?

Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun. good: or, as good as an inheritance, yea, better too

Be not righteous over much; neither make thyself over wise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself? destroy: Heb. be desolate?

And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs. moreover: or, the more wise the preacher was, etc

And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. study: or, reading
