And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.

Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well.

And the kine took the straight way to the way of Bethshemesh, and went along the highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of Bethshemesh.

Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face. mine: Heb. those which observe me

Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

To call passengers who go right on their ways:

The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. direct: Heb. rectify

Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly. destitute: Heb. void of heart

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:

I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts. direct: or, make straight

Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
