He sent from above, he took me; he drew me out of many waters; many: or, great

Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.

By thy messengers thou hast reproached the Lord, and hast said, With the multitude of my chariots I am come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon, and will cut down the tall cedar trees thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the lodgings of his borders, and into the forest of his Carmel. But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.

The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.

For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;

She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.

She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,

For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,

The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. the haughty: Heb. the height of the people

And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.
