סָעַד

And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said. comfort: Heb. stay are: Heb. you have passed

And it came to pass on the fourth day, when they arose early in the morning, that he rose up to depart: and the damsel's father said unto his son in law, Comfort thine heart with a morsel of bread, and afterward go your way. Comfort: Heb. Strengthen

And he arose early in the morning on the fifth day to depart: and the damsel's father said, Comfort thine heart, I pray thee. And they tarried until afternoon, and they did eat both of them. until afternoon: Heb. till the day declined

And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward.

Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great. thy gentleness: or, with thy meekness thou hast multiplied me

Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; thee help: Heb. thy help strengthen: Heb. support

The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness. make: Heb. turn

When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart. oil: Heb. to make his face shine with oil, or, more than oil

Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.

Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upholden by mercy.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
