And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,

Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the LORD put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the LORD had commanded.

For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.

Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. his: Heb. of his understanding there is no number

So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; liftest: Heb. givest thy voice

For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. that getteth: Heb. that draweth out understanding

The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. established: or, prepared

My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:

Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?

It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.

He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace. void: Heb. destitute of heart

He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. hasty: Heb. short of spirit

Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly. destitute: Heb. void of heart

He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. an: or, a cool

A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.

He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good. wisdom: Heb. an heart

Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.

There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.

Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:

The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days.

With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding? instructed: Heb. made him understand understanding: Heb. understandings?

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree? considereth: Heb. setteth to his heart the stock: Heb. that which comes of a tree?

He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

Shall I not in that day, saith the LORD, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau?
