Naphtali is a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.

Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

And Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it hath heard all the words of the LORD which he spake unto us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your God.

Her wise ladies answered her, yea, she returned answer to herself, answer: Heb. her words

Then should I yet have comfort; yea, I would harden myself in sorrow: let him not spare; for I have not concealed the words of the Holy One.

How forcible are right words! but what doth your arguing reprove?

Do ye imagine to reprove words, and the speeches of one that is desperate, which are as wind?

How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?

This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God. appointed: Heb. of his decree from God

Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.

Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. esteemed: Heb. hid, or, laid up my: or, my appointed portion

Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:

Now he hath not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches. directed: or, ordered

My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.

For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.

Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:

All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.

All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. froward: Heb. wreathed

The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words. pleasant: Heb. words of pleasantness

Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. an: or, a cool

All the brethren of the poor do hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him? he pursueth them with words, yet they are wanting to him.

Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge.

That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee? to them: or, to those that send thee?

Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.

The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right. the needy: or, he speaketh against the poor in judgment

Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous? yea, there is none that sheweth, yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that heareth your words.

Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth. and: or, that thy judgments might be, etc
